Finally, a day on the water!

This spring was crazy, crazy busy for us. A new baby, a busy work schedule.

My new fly rods just sat in the corner.

Luckily, things have normalized, and it was time for our annual trip to Vermont. While I have to admit to spending the first couple of day sleeping and napping, then resting, I finally got out on the water.

Yup, I know, I went paddling…. couldn’t resist.

In any case, I eventually did hit my favorite stretch of Green Mountain water…

It was time well spent… lots of rust to be worn off, but the more time I spent there, the more relaxed I became… and the many small bass who lived there kept me busy, chomping at everything I would throw at them, from my first cast, to my last!

While it certainly wasn’t the kind of exciting fishing to garner any sort of attention from anyone else, (nothing to brag about here folks), it was exactly what I needed, and the kind of experience that makes us want to fish in the first place! I am happy. 🙂

I feel like myself again!
